Have you thought how cool it’d be to learn to spin wool fiber and make yarn with a spinning wheel? Here is your chance to try it out; you’ll soon be spinning a way!! Here’s what we’ll cover: - Basic principles of the spinning wheel - Wool characteristics and how to draft wool - Spin a ‘single’ yarn - Wind your yarn off on a niddy-noddy - Learn to make a 2-ply yarn (If time permits) Several ounces of fiber will be provided to spin in class (BFL roving from Janie's flock) and you will take home the skein of yarn that you spin during our class! If you have your own functional wheel, please bring it. If you have a question about your wheel not functioning properly, let us know before class and we'll see if a simple fix may solve it so you can use it in class! Otherwise you will be welcome to use one of the provided wheels! Registration Includes You will go home with a lovely skein of homespun yarn that you have made Skill Level This class is for anyone. Best for Ages… 13 and up You should bring… All you need is yourself…
