To start using the pen, unscrew the barrel from the tip section and remove the yellow ring, then screw the barrel back into the tip section. Gently squeeze the area above the grip, marked "PUSH," to start the ink flowing. On some surfaces, multiple layers of ink may need to be applied to reach the desired level of opacity.
