This full set of carving tools is perfect for green woodwork or carpentry. Each set is hand forged by the Kerr Forge blacksmith, Jon.They are ideal for carving spoons, bowls, chair parts or sculptural/art work.The set includes:- 1 curved sloyd style knife.- 1 straight edge detail knife- 1 chisel tip knife- 1 hook knife

They are ideal for carving spoons, bowls, chair parts or sculptural/art work.

The set includes:

- 1 curved sloyd style knife.
- 1 straight edge detail knife
- 1 chisel tip knife
- 1 hook knife (for bowls and spoons).

The set is delivered extremely sharp and ready for carving.

The blades are forged from high quality, high-carbon EN45 and heat treated to provide a high hardness such that they will retain an edge very well.

The handles are made from high quality ash and detailed with a bolster made from 4700year old Bog Oak. Both these materials are ideal for a handle as they are hard, durable and beautiful. The handle is treated with boiled linseed oil to protect the wood.


Knife care:
These tools should be kept clean and dry when not in use. They should be oiled regularly (once every couple of months, or more, ideally) with boiled linseed oil or similar. They should last a lifetime with good care.
