The Green Rose Chafer is a small iridescent beetle found primarily in southern and central Europe. They can be spotted flitting amongst the roses on warm, sunny days from May until July, and sometimes all the way up to September. They feed off of pollen, nectar, and flowers, but they primarily prefer roses. In shape it resembles a scarab, while its body is colored by a metallic green which changes shades depending upon how the light hits it.
