Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire  (ゴジラxコング新たなる帝国,   Gojira Kongu: Aratanaru Teikoku) is an upcoming American science fiction monster film set to be directed by Adam Wingard and written by Terry Rossio, Simon Barrett, and Jeremy Slater from a story by Rossio, Wingard, and Barrett, with visual effects supervised by Alessandro Ongaro. Produced by Legendary Pictures,[2] it is the fifth film in the Monsterverse, following up the 2021 film Godzilla vs. Kong. The film will feature Godzilla and Kong joining forces once again against a new threat.[6] Warner Bros. will tentatively release it to American theaters on March 29, 2024,[7] while Toho will bring it to Japanese theaters on April 26.[4][8]
