This listing is for a complete sample set of Schmincke Horadam watercolor paints in DESERT. You will receive five half pans filled to the brim with beautiful paints. These samples are a great size for your own collection, or make a great gift for an artist in your life. These colors are so beautiful and work amazingly on rough texture paper; you’ll find yourself wanting more. You’ll also get a metal tin, 3M magnets on the pans, a custom color reference card, and an Arches watercolor paper sample to make your own swatch card. Over five days I fill and pack the pan in layers to prevent cracking and large bubbles. This ensures you are getting a nice, complete half-pan to play and create with. Please be aware micro bubbles are common and will not effect the quality of your paint. There are five super granulating colors included in each set: • Desert = Yellow, Orange, Brown, Green, Grey • Half pan = 2.0ml of paint and measures 0.75 x 0.63 x 0.4 inches • Quarter pan = 1.0ml of paint and measures 0.71 x 0.59 x 0.2 • Mini pan = 0.5ml of paint and measures 0.48 x 0.44 x 0.24 • Metal case with magnets size depends on which pan size you choose. Check out my other listings for additional limited edition colors! 🎨 ABOUT THE PAINT: Since their introduction in 1891, Schmincke Horadam Watercolors have been famed for their colors, control, and innovation. These watercolors contain a combination of naturally granulating pigments which separate and settle into the paper surface for textural effects. While the pigment will still granulate on a smooth paper the appearance will be different from that on rough paper. The more pits and pockets on the surface for the pigment to collect in, the more dramatic the contrast. ⚠️ To keep your paint clean make sure to close the pallet lid AFTER the water evaporates.
