Description

This is an original painting of a Tiger using only a palette knife for 95% of the painting process. I love the textures and freedom of mark-making a palette knife offers. This type of art requires a keen eye in building correct values and colors, one which I feel I captured well in this painting.

I am an Origami After School Enrichment Instructor and illustrator focusing on making drawings which reflect the relationships between animals and nature. Sometimes these connections are beautiful and sometimes they are tragic.

My media of choice is colored pencil as it seems to depict the colors and layers of the world around me in a way which no other media can.

I design my own Origami models for my Origami Mami after school program which I bring to 9 Elementary Schools in the East Bay, CA. I have been teaching this course for the past 5 years.

My Colored Pencil artwork has been exhibited at several Open Studios throughout the East Bay and I look forward to expanding my opportunities in future exhibits.
