Lonestar Tire Coating Application Instructions.
SHAKE WELL!!!
If a coating has been previously applied to the tire you will need to completely strip it using lacquer thinner and clean the tire according to instructions below before applying Lone Star Tire Coating.
Step 1: Wear protective gloves. Spray entire tire (WHILE ITS DRY) with Lonestar SPC cleaner/degreaser. Use tire cleaning brush to scrub tire thoroughly. Get in between cracks and crevices. Rinse before solution dries, preferably right after scrub. Repeat a MINIMUM of 3 times on all tires. If solution still turns brown, repeat until it is white when rinsed. Closely inspect every tire to make sure there is no browning or discoloring left on the tire. The cleaner the tire, the better The tire coating will adhere and perform. (You don’t have to wait for tire to dry between each cleaning)
Step 2: Let tire dry completely before applying Tire coating. A blower can be used to speed up the process. Once tire is completely dry, SHAKE tire coating well, squeeze a moderate amount of tire coating on a foam applicator pad of your choice and apply a thin layer over the entire tire working into any cracks or crevices until purple milky haze turns clear. VERY IMPORTANT! Make sure to apply a THIN layer. Wipe away any excess or puddling before it dries. The hotter it is the faster it dries. Have a damp rag available to wipe any product that contacts anything other than the tire. Do not apply in direct sunlight.
Apply multiple coats for higher gloss. I don’t recommend more than three thin coats on initial application. Let product dry fully in between each coat added.
Step 3: Let dry and WATCH IT SHINE
DO NOT APPLY temps below 55 degrees!!!
Touch ups:
Clean the tire well with Lonestar SPC cleaner/degreaser. Agitate if needed to remove more dirt. Repeat till suds from cleaner stay white. Usually just needs one rinse for touch ups. Let tire dry completely then Reapply Tire coating. (One thin coat recommended)
Remember not to apply in direct sunlight.
Removal of coating
Use lacquer thinner to remove. Soak a towel and scrub tire well till coating is gone.
WARNING:
Do not use SPC cleaner on coated wheels. Test a small portion on any area before using. DO NOT get Tire coating on any other surfaces.
