Introduction to Sashiko: Do you love embroidery? Are you a quilter? Then you are probably going to love the Japanese art of Sashiko. This simple running stitch to create bold and geometric patterns on textiles has been used for centuries and continues into our current times. We will introduce you to this art form using sashiko sampler fabric and sashiko thread. We'll work on a traditional sampler which you can take along with you. We'll discuss how to use sashiko in a variety of ways as well. Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund. Level: beginner We provide: Sashiko needle, sashiko thread bundle, printed fabric.
