Description

This ripple pattern is great for a beginner wanting to try something more challenging. By using the treble stitch you create the peaks of the waves by increasing stitches and the troughs by decreasing. I just love the Replay yarn from Sirdar a soft blend of cotton and acrylic . Kit is 8 x 50g Replay yarn & instructions

This ripple pattern is great for a beginner wanting to try something more challenging.

The stitch is simple to work and looks most effective when made in different colours.  By using the treble stitch you create the peaks of the waves by increasing stitches and the troughs by decreasing. This is easier to do than it sounds!

I just love the Replay yarn from Sirdar. It is a lovely blend of cotton and acrylic and its' 'round' construction makes it great to crochet with. Although it is a double knit and the ball band will tell you to use a 4mm hook I always like to work with a bigger hook to get more drape and fluidity to the piece. I made this sample using a 5mm crochet hook.

Approximate finished size is 78cm x 92cm , ideal baby or toddler blanket size.
